The Camper Is Home!

The First Post

Sunday started our first day of the camper renovation project. We finally picked it up from an overly helpful Italian brother and sister. "Brother don't forget to have them take the tarp off the top" "Sister you owe me a new paira church shoes, the wire from that therea license plate scratched them. I came right from church yanno."  And the best one, "Itza clean campah yannow, you can eatz spAgetti and meataballz off tha floor."  

The tarp was held on with concrete blocks and a huge angry jumping spider that insisted it would put up a fight and chace Alex (who was on a ladder), it was quite entertaining. 

Paid the money and started to roll out, until we realized "Brother" only filled to tires that had had air in them and not the tires that were flat. "Down two blocks, thereza gas station, yous can get air there itz jus two blocks down thera, you can see it from here!" And off we went. 

After stopping for air we made our way up the highway on our first journey cross states to bring it home back to Canton Mass  (It was in Rhode Island).  To our surprise it tracked really strait without stabilizers, duallies really help. And it felt light, like nothing was there. This compared to towing a 36ft Toy hauler packed for a trip to the west. Is it bad when the camper is shorter than the truck pulling it?

With one tail light, no hazards or breaks we got it home safely. Now it sits in its new home in our back yard. 

This was a fun time, peeking in every drawer, looking around, analyzing what we want to do, and finding all of the issues.
