Behind every finish product is a great design, and every great design are ideas. Ideas come from inspirations and you can find mine here on my Pinterest page here:
The base of my inspiration for the design theme is: "A Birch Forest In Spring on a Foggy day". I once saw a beautiful photo of a birch forest, it was foggy and unclear but the whites, grays, and blacks of the trees popped through the fog. The fresh new leaves were a bright green, and the forest floor was dappled with dusty pinks and yellows. Its a magical image of which I plan on drawing from when selecting colors on the renovation. The image below isn't foggy, and its missing the dappled forest floor, but its a start to show you my color intentions.
Today I got a chance to play with a photo I had taken from the inside of the camper. Here you can see the different values of gray. The counter tops are light woodgrain so those can stay. Possibly green, black, or gray denim will cover the 70's yellow tweed. For the backsplash I'm going with a brushed stainless or aluminum piece that wraps around the wall by the stove. That'll look good and match the gray tone on tone look.
Here are other photos that I find motivating.
Below are a few camper redo inspirations I found online. Its amazing how roomy a small camper can get with just paint.
We may actually be doing this instead of the Dinette.
