About This Blog

I know that there are others who have attempted and completed a camper renovation project such as this. I would love to know your thoughts and ideas. Maybe you came across some of the same issues that I might be stumped on, maybe you know a great place to get parts. Or you're part of a camper forum with like minded people. I would LOVE to meet you (here online of course), please feel free to email me, or leave your email in my comments so that I can contact you.

Rear Running Lights Installed.

A little more progress has been done over the weekend. The running lights on the rear have been installed. For the marker lights we are using LED semi-truck lights that we got at Alex's former work. A nifty lil set up really, the bulbs are one piece of molded plastic lens that plugs into the base. The electrical components are fully water tight, the lens is not just a cover. I'll try to get photos tomorrow for you all.

We also installed the brake lights, generic camper lights for now, nothing fancy.

I still need to purchase the tear drop shapped side marker lights. They will be cab roof lights slightly modified to mount on a flat surface. There's something I love about that shape, which will add a bit of customization to the outside of the camper.

We also assessed that the camper's door will neeed to be rebuilt. The bottom trim fell off to reveal a rotted wood bottom. If I'm able I will be replacing the frosted glass window with clear plexi so that you can see out of the door. If you want provacy, then I'll put up curtains.

Wheels and Tires have been picked out and will be ordered this week. And I definitely need to remember to register it, or we're not going Anywhere.

Honestly I can't wait for Alex to finish the wiringso the insulation and wall boards can go up.

I booked the campsite for June the other day. Only a few more weekends, cross your fingers that the camper will be ready.
