Our short term plans includes: Wheel bearings, brakes, new tires, running the running lights to be legal on the road, finish wiring but not installing lights and outlets, insulation and wall boards, and of course building the bed frame. Nothing else is urgent enough to finish. We won't need running water, or plumbing, nor do we need power. The site we're looking into doesn't have it anyways and with out the camper we would have been tenting it. So we can make due without it but at least be off of the ground in a comfortable bed. It always seems to rain at least a few days that week. It'll be good knowing we will be staying dry for half the cost of a cabin.
A few things need to be done to my truck also. New wires for the trailer and air bags, since my truck is only a 1500 we'd like to keep the ride more comfortable and as much weight off of the leafs as possible. We'll have one bike that weighs about 300 pound in the bed of the truck, plus the weight of the camper. It's a rather inexpensive addition also.
So far within the week we've finished the brakes and bearings on the right side, added the new wiring and outlet to the truck. I've started cleaning out more debris from last years construction of tearing out the walls. We still need to tear out the walls in the closet to run new wiring to the running lights. I did find three separate mouse nests, and one dead mouse. It looks like at one point a bird had been inside with bird poops plopped here and there.
Next thing that will make me feel better about putting my supplies in there is to disinfect the cupboards and paint the insides to brighten them up. Ew ew ew.
With that I leave you today, until more progress is made.
Thanks for Following!
